I'm just finishing up Airfix's 1/72 Fairey Swordfish, and I wonder if someone knows the attachement points for the radio antenna for a Mk. I in late 1940.
I've seen several photos online and most show a radio mast on the top wing in the center section to the starboard side at near the wing trailing edge. Tamiya's Mk. I model has a mast there too.
However I've also seen a couple of photos which indicate that there is no mast, but the radio antenna is attached to a 'nub' in the top wing center section. Airfix cast this nub, but the Airfix instructions do not have a rigging diagram.
Could anyone tell me which is correct, or at least, which one is more correct?
Thanks, Bink.
