Pegasus has released a couple of limited edition wood grain effect decals in 1/72 scale. The sheets come in dark or light varnished wood. Get them before they disappear.

Could fill a void for those doin WWI stuff, but IMHO, they look too uniform to represent "real" wood. They need to have some irregularities amongst the grains, just like real wood has. Other than that, they would look good in small scale kits.

If it would be that simple as shown on the pic, I could have saved a lot of thoughts and work.
