On Thanksgiving, here in the United States, I took the time to have a marathon modeling session and finally finished an aircraft model. It has been awhile. This is the Hasegawa 1/72 scale Kyushu Shinden or Magnificent Lightning. It was only flown in prototype for the Japanese Navy just days before the end of WWII.

I decided to take decals from my spares box and do a what if, the Kyushu aircraft had gone operational. I used Vallejo paints for the first time and liked them. They sprayed well out of the airbrush and went on easily. I used overall aluminum and mottled the airplane with sky blue camoflauge.

I need to clean up the canopy a bit, sort of rushed to paint it and get it done, other than that a respectable build. It was sure fun to get back to building. Hope you enjoy looking. Russell

I thought I would share four more shots, at "ground level". Russell

Nice work Russell,

A vivid bird. The blue looks cool on it, too.
