Here is my recently finished Revell 1/32 scale Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9.
This model was built O.O.B. but chose not to use any of the marking choices provided in the kit since those have been done to death by other modelers so I put my model in the markings of a KG(j)55 D-9. KG(j)55 was an obscure fighter unit formed late in the war and was composed of ex-bomber pilots of disbanded bomber units.
Model Master enamel paints were used for paints and were shot through my Iwata Revolution BR airbrush.
The spinner spiral and black/yellow KG(j)55 RVD band were masked and painted and all the other markings were a mix of EagleCals and those from the kits decal sheet.
A lot of the weathering was done with my airbrush and the rest was done with oil paints thinned with Turpinoid.

Thanks very much Russell!
This kit was very nice to put together and is the third one I have built...with more to come next year.

Les,
Another outstanding model! I noticed the mud splatter along the rear fuselage and behind the wheels-- something usually overlooked.
My compliments!

Thanks for noticing Fred,
I wanted this model to look like an aircraft operated from a primitive dirt airstrip and it was weathered by starting from the bottom to the top.
Quite often I see some nicely weathered aircraft models but with perfectly clean wheels...by weathering the wheels first its easy to get the rest of the model weathered enough to match them.
