Hi All,
I'm in the process of painting the instrument panel for my RNZAF Dautless.
My query:
The IP is moulded in clear plastic with raised details and a small number of decals.
How do I paint it?:
I'm considering putting a drop of black into each dial (backside)
when dry overpainting the front in white when it's dry overpainting this in black.
scratching off the black on each dials highlights to show the white.
But is there another way.
I'm guessing when Accurate Miniatures did this kit originally it had P/E,However this rebox doesn't-also the instructions are particularly clear.
Ideas/tips
Thanks
Chris

The original kit didn't have PE. They used a decal that you had to apply to the back of the panel, after very carefully painting everything except the instrument faces. A tiny brush and steady hand were required.
Here's a glimpse into the cockpit of my Il-2, which used the same technique.
You can just see one of the instruments in the panel.
