I am about to start a 72 scale Bristol Beaufighter mark X. I was curious about the copper color around then engine nacelles? I notice that all the Beaufighters I have seen have that. Is there a reason copper was the color used? Thought someone could answer this question for me. Thanks in advance. Just curious. Russell

The fronts of the nacelles were exhaust collector rings. The copper colour represents the heated metal effect which that particular nickle plated steel alloy alloy tended to turn.
