Hi all

first of all I wish everyone a happy new year .. live long and prosper.

Revell announced the news on this years press conference in November. It seems they changed the schedule a bit to match this release date, thus news for december 2013 are missing from their list. But still there is much good stuff to come 1/32 Bf 109G-6 and Spit Mk. II, 1/35 Dingo 2, 1/48 Tormnado, 1/72 Gripen and Type IXc U-Boat (U-505) .. plus many more have a look here:

Revell News 2013

again all the best for 2013!

It's about time that someone produced a new tool in 1/32 of the early Spitfire, and it's good that Revell are doing it, based on the standard of their recent kits I hope that it is a "new tool" and not a re-hash of the old kit?

Yes, the 1/32 Spitfire II is a great addition to what is available- I think it is a completely new tool, due in August for 25 Euro.

One of the best offerings is the "old but gold" (at least for me) F-101B in 1/72!!!

Hi Steffen

It's an interesting line-up. The potential star for me is still the new 1:32 Bf 109G (sorry Mal!) - I was quite happy with Revell's tie-in with Hasegawa for their "hybrid" Spitfire Mk.II that I bought for about £12.50! .

I'm not so sure what to make of all the Red Bull tie-ins... there are some classic kits in there - I just hope they include authentic period markings too...

All the best

The Sikorsky CH-53GA back in 1/48

Splendid, still it onfirms my suspicion that the model manufacturers have a joint devious plan to ruin me completely

Rowan, Red Bull Racing won F1 this year. I'm hoping the spit is a new tool as well, but i have had difficulty finding the older early spits in 1/32nd. So i'd welcome a re-release aswell.

Hi All,

the 1/32 Spit will be new tool

As for the RB stuff. They normally do not allow their brand, logos ... used so I guess the re-release of the RB gift sets is part of the deal to release the RB8 F1 car .. as I wrote: a GUESS

I am personally glad there is something new in 48 scale and the Tornado is no bad choice (time to build my Italeri-kit with tons of AM)

The Bf 109 G-6 will be great for those who like the scale .. there are many experts involved in this project.

all the best

Hi again Steve

Yeah - I get it that Red Bull won the F1 constructors' title... but I'm not interested in building their museum warbirds off the back of it. As I said before, I hope Revell include authentic period markings too.

All the best

Or that the Aftermarket gets busy with some nice options.

I have to admit there's very little that excites me. Some interesting stuff, but nothing I want. The Lynx should be good one but who has space for it? The 1/700 HMS Kelly (bound to be a matchbox reissue) and the ST XI Enterprise are about all that's on my buy list.

Well each to their own Rowan but, to me, it is surprising that the early Spitfire has been neglected by everyone, in preference to Luftwaffe aircraft, in 1/32 scale with modern tooling. I have, and I am building, Revells hybrid and, although good, it is not a patch on what a new tooled model, by Revell (judging on recent releases), will be. It would be great if Airfix were to do with RAF subjects what Revell are doing with Luftwaffe subjects; scale, quality, price. We might then get a down scaled Mossie

Hi gents, just wanted to clear up some confusion. This is the Renault RB8 from Red Bull Racing.....

Though she does share some things with Modern jets (computer controlled ignition and performance calibration.) the only thing she shares with a Spitfire or Bf109 is the engine being an integral part of the frame. Just wanted to clear things up a bit. I'm hoping more F1 cars than just these 2 maybe Schumacher's Mercedes AMG.

EDIT... I'm happy the Spit is a new tooling. I can't wait.
