I really do hope someone here will help me on this one.
In the past ,I have allways used some shade of interior green in cocpits of US wwII aircrafts. But have now come to an understanding that some form of cromate were used. The question is, what color is it , and how do I mix it using humbrol or tamiya. I find it hard to find other brands here in Norway. Thanks for the help in advance

Quoted Text

zinc chromate is a greenish yellow)

Zinc Chromate is a bright yellow when new but ages to a duller slightly brownish yellow. Green primer, which used to be known as cockpit green, was used on all interior surfaces of some aircraft, but some were left natural metal and others finished in zinc chromate. Reference pics are the best way of establishing what is correct.

Regards Dave
