Their new PR. XIX appears excellent... Compare and try to imagine the new PR. XIX fuselage done the "old school" way (a not unthinkable occurence if no one had complained)...
Consider that, despite the nose length differences, the nose's upper curvature should be the same on both while it curves... The fin is of course different, but the tail's depth and spine slope should be identical, and here the difference in spine slope alone speaks for itself really...
Great "corrective" work by Airfix, and kudos to them! Undoubtedly the new Airfix PR. XIX is for now the best mainstream Spitfire kit in the scale, pending the incoming Eduard Mk IX...
