Hoping some of my comrades here and those more expert than I can possibly shed som thoughts on this issue.
WNW's profile D for the D.VII (OAW) shows an all blue tail plane. But the photo beneath indicates to my eye at least the elevator is possibly white? It looks far lighter than the tail surface in front of it and I know someone would say its bleached out by the light in the photo but.... theres what appears to be an oil/greas stain running back from the hinge.
Anyones twopenneth on this would be gratefully recieved.

One source says that it had the "white" elevators in French hands post war and therefore may have been a replacement item. One other images suggests that it was the same colour as the fuselage when flown by Leusch.
