Has anyone here had any experience with Kitty Hawk kits.. mainly regarding fit of parts and ease of assembly?
I just saw one I like, but I don't want a kit that will make me pull the couple of hairs that I have left

Which one is it? Chances are that someone's already posted a build of it online.
Speaking very generally, they're very good for detail and slightly fiddly to put together. I'd say that they're comparable to pretty much any modern model kit these days.

It's a picture I saw of a future release by them, I believe it's a two-seater Mig 21... or a Sukhoi, not exactly sure. I saw the pic on a Facebook page, but I can't find it again. I'll keep looking for it.
Thanks for the reply!

Here's the pic I saw... one of the guys who commented on the pic said it was a Sukhoi Su22... I'm not an expert, but I just love the look of it
This is the page where I saw it... hope the link works

That's an Su-22UM-3K, and this is the first I've heard of it. It looks quite delectable from that one picture.
Since it hasn't been released yet I can't really comment on how it may build. The detail in Kitty Hawk kits is really good, but as I've said they're sometimes a bit fiddly to put together because of that detail. For example, the Jaguar A's fuselage is a trifle flimsy because of all the optional open panels and doors. Once you get past that point, it's all good.
Some people have also been complaining about cracked canopies in the Jaguar as well; they're near scale thickness and so tend to crack in transit. I think that they've got that one solved by now.

Thanks for your comments.. I'm definitely getting one when it's released.
The guys commenting on the pic said that a Trumpeter designer had left Trumpeter and started Kitty Hawk.. and that this pic was posted some time ago as a Trumpeter release.. and then I guess the R&D guy took it with him..... don't know how much of that is true.. I just hope they do release it

Picture depicts never released Trumpeter kit in 1:32 scale. Kitty Hawk denied this is their release (having three available this is not very difficult to recognize) but didn't say anything whether they plan to release any Su 22 in future.

Too bad it turned out to be bogus news.. I would have really liked to get one

I don't mind but as we asked Kitty Hawk, about a week or so ago, for this particular kit I just wanted to share the first hand information which we got. Beside, untill you will see it in Aeroscales News Report it doesn't exist.
