I wasn't aware that MiG 25s did things which went bang on the ground. I always thought it was strictly an interceptor or picture-taker.

I was with you on that one Jessica, but just did some checking and there is a strike version but it's not the PD/PDS which is an interceptor.
PD - improved version after 1979 - Foxbat E
PDS - P version upgraded to PD variant - Foxbat E

It would seem that that's something that kitty Hawk does. When they released the cad renderings of the new Gripen it was carrying missiles from Israel which to my knowledge has never been carried by the Gripen.
