What did you do with the lower side? Windows, overpainted windows or metal planking? I could not find information about this and thus the kit is still in its box

Beautiful work! That really should be a frontpage Feature. I was only looking at this kit last week (in its box) as I spring cleaned my workroom and thinking how great it would be to build it one day. I somehow don't think my best efforts could match your model though...
