I think it is a big deal. The pre-order price is pretty good for something of this size and detail. More than I can justify spending at my skill level, but a guy can still dream.

There was a HUGE thread over on Large Scale Planes that speculated whether it would be a 109, Spitfire Mk. 1 or something like a Mossie. Apparently someone with "sources" knew about the Tamiya team measuring surviving planes at a museum in the Great White North, and correctly deduced it would be a Corsair.
Given the AWFUL Trumpeter kits, an accurate F-4U (followed by a bubble top) will be a big, big deal to some of us.
