This is Roden's 1/72 PKZ-2 Helicopter.
The kit was a nice, if fiddly build. The three outriggers were a bear to get lined up, as was getting that crow's nest on top to be lined up. Still, careful sawing kept the parts from breaking, though a few flingers had to be replaced with styrene rod.
I may still add the rigging when the Windsock Datafile comes in - we'll see if I've got the guts.
Let me know what you think.
Mika

That is one of the wierdest things I ever seen! The build up looks really nice and the wood effect on the blades is great!
Do you have any background information on this machine?

For more information on the PKZ-2, I'll point you toward Roden where the history of this little chopper (literally, if you wanted to bail out) is displayed.

Really interesting history.....and I thought the first helicopter built for military purposes was the German FL 265.
BTW, I am building Huma's 1/48 FL 282 for the Campaign.

Fascinating looking thing.I wonder how any crew would die, trying to get out before the bleds stopped turning? What size in real mm,or inches is it?
Is there PE for it?
Are you staying with this color scheme?

Hi Mika
Lovely job! At first glance I thought you'd built Eduard's old 1/48 scale version; I picked this one up the other week. :-)
To be honest, your 1/72 scale kit looks more finely moulded than it's big brother!
Nice one!
All the best
