Definitely not my scale or preference, but I would be more than happy to model this beast! Can hardly wait to see that in reality!

Wow!
BOOM. Goes. The. Dynamite!
I can hardly wait to see this kit. Too bad they don't have TamiyaCon in Southern California anymore. Building this and slapping a coat of paint on it would win a trip to Japan for sure.

To me it seems to be another high dollar kit from Tamiya. Time will tell how well it will be received. If it were my choice, which it isn't, I would have loved to see another P-38 offering.

High price I'm sure. But I imagine it's going to be a killer of a kit. Weathering freaks must be salivating.
I'd love to see a better option than those awful rubber tyres on this one, an alternative at least.
Having built both the Spit & P51 I'd have hoped deep inside for a FW190 but the Corsair is a beast to get your teeth into.
Still £ for £ WNW win out for me over Tamiya, I remember being dissappointed to find no gunbays etc on the T Spit.

Good to see your enthusiasm guys. Don't forget about incoming decals from Eagle Editions for this kit - LINK

Some of you chaps are either too yopung to remember the old days of crappy plastic, too old to care about modern molding techniques, or too cheap to pay for good high end quality kits...! Just sayin. ;-)

Hm, don't be fast in judgment... let's wait and see what Gaston holds up the sleeve! It may be a high-dollar kit, but why worry if it is fatally flawed?

I won't care what Gaston thinks, I will form my own opinion. In fact I already have, knowing the standard that they achieve with these kits I will be getting one because I want a 1/32 Corsair in my collection and this will be the best that you will get for decades; regardless of any of Gastons red lines!

Looks very nice indeed. Lucky it's not something german;-)
These kits are so much fun to build I'm afraid this one will follow the Spitfire and the Mustang (zero is still wip).
The other thing going for these is that allthough I could probably get three other kits for the same price, I simply have no room to put those somewhere. So I better spend time on something like this, right?

As far as pricing this beast goes, I would expect it to be between the Tamiya P-51D and the P-51K.
As far as markings go...need some Hampton Grey markings!

Personally, I'm curious to see how they handle the folding wings, and what sort of detail they include of the hinge area. I'm not a big Corsair fan, (insert gasp of disbelief here), but may get one just to build a wings folded carrier deck diorama.

While the Corsairs not high on my "must have" list, I reckon that now Tamiya have tooled a P+W 2800 in 1:32 I'd better start saving for their P47 release

t... let's wait and see what Gaston holds up the sleeve!
Who the **** is Gaston and why should I care what he thinks?
Seriously, this kit was measured from several surviving examples, and looks to be a huge hit (not quite the Mustang, but a winner nonetheless). And a Corsair makes perfect sense as Tamiya looks to offer planes that fit well with its single-engine series. It was also a major nemesis of the Zero, whereas the Mosquito will have very little resonance in Japan where Tamiya focuses its marketing efforts.
And imagine what a two-engine kit would cost you, chaps.
