All,
I completed my next model 1/48 Trumpeter MiG-21 F-13 gifted to me by my very good friend Bob Hanes for Christmas. I wanted to finish it in Indian Air Force scheme .But did not do so because of lack of decal and also I am not a big fan of all silver scheme. This build was OOB and the fit was superb and the details are very good .esply the cockpit was awesome with out any PE parts cockpit parts . Did weathering using oil paint and I hope you all like it.Used Tamiya acrylics, Model Master Acrylics paints.

Hope you all like it. Any comments welcome.
Regards
Vivek

That's the first time I've seen this kit built and it really looks good. Does the nose compartment come in the kit, or did you add it?

Hi Vivek

Great stuff! It looks really nice! I have to admit I'm very tempted to get one of these because, for me, the early MiG-21's are by far the prettiest. I really enjoyed building Eduard's MiG-21SMT, but I think that aircraft's a real brute compared with this sleek and nimble earlier version.

All the best

Thanks. I agree with you. Indian Airforce had pretty much all the variants of the Mig-21. But I have a love or SMTs .So i picked up a very old SMT kit.I think it is a Czech OEZ model. Started building it. Need help with the right color Rowan.
Thanks

I'm pleased to hear the fit is good. I'm sitting on one of these for the Lottery Campaign. Are the instrument faces from the decal sheet?

Really sharp looking build.

Yes.Instrument panel is made by placing decal on the raised instument panel that comes with the kit.

I currently have the Eduard 48 MF and trying to find some Tiger Meet decals or some really snazzy European decals is like pulling hens teeth.

Vivek, just a super nice clean OOB build. Paint and weathering has that realistic used but not abused look.
