Hello,

The engravings between the panels are passed to juice oil painting + gasoline. The gray payne made dull areas that are not suitable for a racing plane. So I used the dark blue (pure cobalt) and that's fine ...

The glass is passed to Klir and painted with stencils. The interior is surprisingly a little star at the windshield (cracked) when I removed the liquid mask.

I just noticed that the decals JMGT not suitable for my C450 ... The brand builder "Caudron Airplane" on the rudder is too small, almost 2 times too small !!!

It seems to me that some website print decals (against money...) but I can not find the link. If you know one of these sites, I'm very interested.

Regards.

Hello,

Maybe here:

http://ffsmc-productions.com/fr/12-aviation

or here:

http://www.parkes682decals.com/#

... would they do that?

I asked them.

According to the plans of the "fana de l'aviation" and if my calculations are right, the "small" decals (Williams Brothers kit 1/32) representing the brand manufacturer ("Avions Caudron") have the right length:

13.8 mm for the word Caudron
9.6mm for the word Avion (9.1 on the plan)

If someone could check the length of these decals on the board Williams Brothers it would be really nice.
If anyone has any pieces of decals he would like me to sell me it would be even nicer.

Regards
Louis

Hi!

After a long search on the net ...

3 videos that show:

- Hélène Boucher in the cockpit of his Caudron FA-MVB. She gets strap and took off with his plane, and in the C450.

Note the typo in the title: "FASTER THEN EVER" instead of THAN ever as noted in 1th image.

- Raymond Delmotte win the cup: Deutsch de la Meurthe

- landing gear test on a caudron and interview of Marcel Rifard in "the history of aviation" Daniel COSTEL (see 26min 30 ')

Hi,

Here, it's almost over ..

- The painting was varnished and the varnish has seeped under the "plastic wrap" with which I was protecting the back of the model. Result: paint destroyed. So sanding and re-painting.

.... Then varnished again and painting was cracked (beautiful and very deep cracks), almost the entire surface of the sidewalls. The sides have been repainted, again.

The wings also cracked but it is only seen very little and only one angle.

The varnish is of Klir. The paint was dry for several weeks. I think the varnish layer was too thick ...

- Decals FFSMC are perfect . The shape, color (tricolor), the thickness of the support and in addition they are solid.

http://ffsmc-productions.com/fr/

The after sales service is exemplary. A small mistake on his part in the size of the numbers of the tail ... no worries FFSMC sent me a corrected decals

- The flaps are installed, I have not dug underneath you can not see anything and it's too complicated.

- The exhaust pipes are drilled tin wire (1 mm diameter)

- Compass transparent stretched plastic and photo etched.

- Levers (gas and a second that serves to whatever?) were added to the left.
- The door is aluminum barcket food (tray).
- The Pitot tube
- The slide of the canopy.

- landing gear are glued and joints repainted.

- The figure (with the nose too big ...) is molded and a resin copy painted .

Thank you

Yeah ... I know ... the nose. In fact in the absence of shade (the flash) flattens the relief and gives it not a beautiful face.

No flash this time ...

but blurred.

blade's logos must be done ... the rest is over.

Some loose photos found on the net that appear from time to time...

The decalcomanis FFSMC are completed. They should be available to the three current scales.

Louis, c'est tellement magnifique!

I did the Williams Brothers kit of this aircraft about 20 years ago, and that one was small. In 1/48 it must be absolutely tiny! That just makes your model that much more special
