Just finished up my Italeri DC-3 in 1/72 scale using Leading
Edge Decals for Buffalo Airways.
I first saw the pictures from Leading Edge a few years ago and loved the livery on the plane. That and the fact that I grew up in Buffalo NY, made this one a "must have".
Last year I saw a few episodes of Ice Pilots and ordered the decals and picked up the model. I've been working on it off and on between campaigns.
Now it is finished, and so, for your entertainment
The decals from Leading Edge are thin and therefore you need to be careful with them, but lay down over everything beautifully and don't really need solvents to work..I used plain warm water for excellent results

Thank you all, I appreciate the kind words.
@Jess, the teal green is by formula given by Leading Edge of 1 part Tamyia Gloss White (X-2), 1 part Tamyia Park Green (X-28) and 4 parts Sky Blue (X-4). This is a fairly close match, but then you have to adjust the colour by eye yourself.

Thank you Damian, high praise indeed from both you and Jessica. I have always loved the DC-3 C-47. Not just for her pretty lines, but also for all the history she has lived thru and made. The fact that she was built in the late 1930's and is still flying today is real testament to Douglas. Besides she's been painted every colour under the rainbow!
