Hi all with the Airshow season getting underway here in the UK and the ever increasing excitement of going to the R.I.A.T i had an idea , how about an aerobatic aircraft build ? It can be of any aircraft from any aerobatics team civil or military and from any period of history so for example you could build a T-50 from the amazing Black Eagles or a BAE Hawk from the Red Arrows or even the C-130 from the Blue Angels or how about a Sopwith Snipe of the Central Flying School in 1930 ??
Theres quite a lot to choose from when you start thinking about it
What do you think ??

Does it have to be a display team, or could it just be a specially marked display aircraft?
Posted: Saturday, June 01, 2013 - 09:20 PM UTC
well i was just thinking of aircraft from a team IE F-18 blue angels or F-16 form the Thunderbirds ect

Stand alone display aircraft would be ok as long as its an aircraft that performs an aerobatic display IE the F-16 from the Royal Netherlands Airforce display team

Campaigns are 6 months as a rule. Given that we already have several campaigns starting in the October timeframe it'll probably be late Winter or early Spring 2014 before this one gets a slot open.

I'll put my hand up as a possible maybe for a next year start. I do have a Matchbox 'Blue Diamonds' T7 Hunter in the stash.

I'm in, likely with a CF-188 display aircraft, but I've got a few other options in the stash as well.

Don't worry about dates as the Campaign admins will sort them out Ok thats fine so shall we say March to August 2014 ??
I could be in for this one as I have a 1/48 kit of the MB339 for the Frecce Tricolori somewhere in the stash.
