New to the site and though I would post a few photos of my two recent 32nd scale projects. I've only been back into the hobby for a few years after nearly a 30 year hiatus and the changes that have taken place during that time are amazing to say the least.

Pete, Welcome to Aeroscale. Both your Mustang and Spitfire builds are truly outstanding. I would suggest that you take Jessica's advice that she posted in Nigel's build thread, and submit a feature article on BBD.

Peter,
I've spent some time studying the photographs, and can see that you've given these models the attention they deserve. I haven't studied them to find fault, but rather, to try and learn your approach in achieving such success. In my mind, I'm wondering if I could mimic your approaches to garner equal result, or if I would change anything.

No doubt, this is fine modeling. I'm often surprised that so few on this site are compelled to lend comment toward such wonderful efforts... that's just the way it is. On the other hand, I'm positive that viewers leave with a sense of awh, after taking in this type of craftmanship.

Those are both very, very nice. I'd like to put them on the front page if you're willing.

Ben
Thanks so much for taking the time to give both models a careful look-over. These are my second and thirds efforts since returning to the hobby in nearly 30 years and in both cases, I'm learning as I go. The P-51D was built first and then the Spitfire. A lot of the mistakes I made on the 'stang, I was able to learn from and avoid on the Spitfire; now that's progress. For my taste, I went too far with the weathering on the Spit but it was another learning experience and hopefully, I know know how far to go and not to go.
Right now, I'm looking forward to building the Hasegawa 1/48th scale F-15C Eagle (and entering the Birds of Prey Campaign) with a lot of Aires and Legend upgrades but no plastic surgery - just not my thing. If it looks like an Eagle, then that's fine with me.
Thanks again for the kind words
Peter

Great work Peter !!

Great detailing, really like the engine and open canopy.

Funny, I just build the same Mustang from Tamyia in 1:72
