Just thought I would share my very first build after returning to the hobby after a 30 year hiatus. Trumpeter 1/32 Grumman Bearcat, OOB- box stock. My main aim was to try and achieve a hand rubbed, deep gloss finish with Tamiya acrylics.
Thank for taking the time to look and visit

Pete, Always liked your Bearcat build. See, it paid to do the gloss paint job correctly. A lot of effort went into it, but the end results were well worth it. Of course now you'll never do another gloss paint job.

Thank you for the kind words and much appreciated. Like you, I'm a huge fan of the Iron Works gang, especially growing up on Long Island in the 05's and 60's and only living about 10 miles or so from the Bethpage Plant.

Thanks and no this doesn't mean I'm buying the next breakfast!
Hww wrong you are about not doing another gloss finish. It's in the mental stages right now. Just ask Vinnie.
