I've been researching a new project. Looking at CVW deployments, I've see the designation F/A-18C(N). For example, I see that VMFA-251 Thunderbolts flew this variant off the Enterprise during its last cruise and a number of Marine and Navy squadrons have flown it during the 2000s.
Does anybody know what this (N) means and what it adds (or takes away) from an F/A-18C?
