RAF interior green, the same colour as found in the cockpit. Wheel wells could be in the underside colour.

:-) Again Geoff is correct. Gear legs could be natural metal, or silver, as could the wheels. What mark of Spitfire are you building? Remember, "you can't have to many Spitfires" :-)

Is the interior the same colour for all the Mk's ??
At the moment I'm building an Academy 1/48 Mk XIVc. And in keeping with you philosophy you can't have to many Spitfires, afterwards I'll be doing Tamiya's Mk1a.

:-) Glad to see more Spits on the horizon I have a Mk I, and a Mk V nearing completion, with another Mk V getting a Cooper Details cockpit :-)
Most marks of Spitfire had cockpit green as the predominant colour in the cockpits, however I think post war they were painted black (don't quote me on this, yet) Mk XIV would be Interior green.
Don't forget the pics :-) I'll have to get pics of My Mk XIV's into my gallery :-)

Thanks for the intel guys.
Mal, I haven’t heard of Cooper before. Do they have a website ?? Cockpits details are not difficult areas to get some information of, but it’s the wheel wells, gun bays, etc things you can’t see when you look at photos or go to a museum. Did you build the Academy Spitfire as well ?? What did you think of it ??

:-) I take it you mean the Acadamy Mk XIV's? Yep built both the "C" an "E" veriants. Not bad kits, but not totally accurate. I will be building at least 2 more, Jonnie Johnson's and Ginger Lacey's, these will be corrected. Tonight I have started an Airfix Seafire FR 47 :-)
I'm not sure if Cooper have a web site, I'll see if I can find out and report back :-)
