Just cleaned up my old Hasegawas 1/72 scale KI-84 Haybuse (Gale) code name "Frank". Built a new base for it. Tried to get the effect of a loamy soil. Take a quick look if you like.
The Gale had superlative performance equaling that of the Mustang, Thunderbolt or Lightnings serving in the Pacific at the time. Fortunately for us, they didn't have many and like the Germans had problems producing pilots for these new machines. Russell

Is the tail marking a decal? Looks really good.

Russell, nice job on the Ki-84. Your new base certainly looks like it has loamy loose soil.
