Hi GeneralZod
I can't speak from experience on the 1/72nd scale stuka but I just completed a 1/48th Stuka from Tamiya which has excellent detail. If they have a 1/72nd I am sure it would probably be an excellent choice. If not Tamiya, then look at Hasegawa brand. These two brands are always near or at the top for quality fit and detail OOB.

Hope that helps, I,m sure someone who has done a 1/72nd will come along and give you some good input too.

Good modeling,
Wayne

Me again,
Almost forgot,... one good place to look to see what is available is squadron.com.
Excellent mail order company and they usually have just about anything you would ever want.

Italeri do two (possably three, the tank buster version?) that look pretty decent. I have the B2/R2 and D5 in my "to build stash". Reasonable cockpits, though they lack fuselage sidewall detail. Panel lines are all recessed, maybe a trifle heavy compaired to other kit brands.

I'm not an airplane expert, but I've had great success with the Academy 1/72 Stuka. The fit was absolutely beautiful, and in my opinion the detail was great. It comes with the 37mm (?) guns. It comes with the decals to do Rudel's plane. I would recommend it.

The Fujimi kit (also boxed by Testors) is very nice, if you are interested in the D/G versions...

Chad, My person preference is Hasagawa!!! I have 2 of their 1/48th scale Stukas and their great. Hasagawa gives decals for the inside frames of the canopy, which i thought was a nice touch! Go ahead and build bigger stuka!!!! STUG

I have the Academy one in 1/72 and its a nice kit, even a beginner like me managed to make a decent model so u can go for it for sure, also check out for Revell i think i sav one stuka in their 1:72 scale and since they usualy pack someone else's models maybe u can take that one for a more reasonable price (just check the ) Made in **** part on the outside of the box (Made in italy usualy means its Italeri's kit inside etc...)

Hasegawa Stukas are always good. I built one myself. It turned out crappy because it was like my second model I ever built. But I have another one waiting to get done.

Hi All
Tamiya makes a 1/48" JU-87 Stuka? I sure can't find one! This kit must be OOP? What's the story?
Thanks!

(:-) A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! To everyone. (:-)

Tamiya has never made a 1/48 Stuka......yet! I think the individual who posted that simply confused the Hasegawa kit for Tamiya.

but I just completed a 1/48th Stuka from Tamiya which has excellent detail.

Hi all,
You are right on my earlier post. I did mean to put Hasegawa instead of Tamiya for the stuka.
I was thinking one and typed the other.

Sorry for any confusion,
Good modeling and Merry X-mas to all modelers out there (:-)

I recommend Academy Stuka, w/ detail interior set, recessed panel lines & it was on FSM magazine review kits & it was highly recommended for 72 scale only missing is the swastika decals. I bought one but didn't do it yet, its very impressive in that scale.
