Greetings all!

Long time modeler Ira Campbell has worked on beau coup projects for many years. One was the famous Gunsight Graphics streaked camouflage (OOP). Here he brings us the chance to pick up some " German 4 & 5 colour Lozenge" in various scales from Aviattic

I've just used some of this on an on-going DVIIF I'm building, both the cookie cut and separate bolt type *doing Eric Just's A/C and wanted the difference in wing lozenge to show)
I've used Wood & Wire's too but there's is rather faded and is set aside for my next DVII (fok) build .

Both have excellent qualities. Both are excellent replacements for WNW's garish lozenge and both are very thin & settle with incredible ease over curves and details.

Both of course have some drawbacks. The Aviattic is very strong, but tends to stretch if handled roughly (Mr Sausage fingers here.)

Wood & Wire's are more delicate require a coat or two of clear before use (I may need to find a better clear laquer than that I've used.) and require care when fitting but that faded look the new stuff has is just lovely.

I think everyone will have a personal choice to make but with such excellent choices No one should complain.

Both knck WNW's loz into a cocked hat.

Ira sent this along after seeing our news item.

"Wow--thank you!
Another friend pointed out (politely and indirectly) what a bonehead I am. All that and NO PRICE! The decals are priced at $14.95 for a full A4 sheet plus actual postage and materials. (I do not believe in making money on shipping, so postage is actual USPS plus cost of materials.)

Having done a lot of looking into Fokker streaking practices, I feel I am ready to revamp the streaked decals with original artwork. I'll let you know when I'm ready to move 'em.

In the meantime, I am having a blast with a few Wingnut Wings kits and Aviattic lozenge. I had been working on my own lozenge decal project when I caught wind of Aviattic's efforts. They were far enough ahead of me to make me see I was reinventing the wheel, so to speak. Now, about a year later, they found a brand-spankin' new printer that could produce just what they want. I feel it is worth the wait. I hope I am not alone!

Thanks again!"
