Hi guys . Just a quick one how do you create your signature banners that some of you have at the bottom of your posts ? iv try'd resizing images i like and it just doesn't seem to work for me ??

Hi Dave,
I just use paint to make banners and have not had a problem pasting an image just be sure to make your canvas 468 x 60 pixels.

The way I do it is to create a blank banner sized template "frame", then I open that and paste in my image. If the image I'm pasting is larger than the template, my software gives me a message offering the alternatives of resizing the frame or leaving the frame and moving the image around "behind" the frame until I'm happy with it's positon. When doing that, I either trim it to fit, or resize it. Be careful when you're resizing, because it's too easy to distort your image.

Thanks for the help guys .. Just 1 last thing .. Do i have to have the image on a site like photobucket then copy the url from there like i do when im posting images in the forum ??

Richard, my template is 450 X 87 but yours would work better. It seems that the banner size has been one of the recent changes.
Dave, you need to have your image hosted somewhere, but it should be the banner image. If you make it up locally on your own computer, then host the final banner it will work.
