Hasegawa have updated their excellent Nakajima Tenzan ("Jill") with new resin parts to depict the B6N1 version in a limited edition release.

I had forgotten that flat and bulged tire trend and how contentious it was. I just checked out my Tenzan kit and others of the same era and it all came flooding back. I guess I'll be following your lead and rounding the bottoms off with some styrene.

Well detailed and conscientious review. Excellent photography. A picture speaks 1,000 words! Beautiful innards - who needs aftermarket? That resin spinner - who thought it was a good idea to cast it with the connector across the nose!? Yes, Hasegawa needs to crack down on quality control.

Resin is clearly not something Hase has any business doing. Why do they bother anyway? With injection moulding like that who needs it?

I do feel a strong urge to find and buy this... When I stopped modelling for years I was in a bit of a Japanese aircraft kick. I think I may need to pick up where I left off.
