Hey all!

Here's one you likely don't see every day: the old Hasegawa T-1A .

I've always thought that this was a beautiful aircraft, and it's a shame that there's not a newer, better kit of it. Please take a look at it at the link above and let me know what you think!

Thanks!

Hi Adam,

Welcome to Aeroscale! The T-1 is an interesting airplane, and as that build shows, often very colourful. It's a shame that Hasegawa hasn't bothered to retool it.

Adam, welcome to our community. You're really going to like it here.

A interesting aircraft for sure. A really outstanding build when one realizes that besides the white paint, it's all decals. They look perfect. Decaling around compound curves is a difficult task to get perfect, and in this case, they all are.

Thanks for the kind welcome, everyone.

I think this place looks like a lot of fun!

As for those decals, they weren't made any easier by the fact that they were Hasegawa, and old Hasegawa at that! I find their decals are quite thick. The T-1 is one of the only kit I've used Decal Setting solution on, if I remember right.

Also, I normally don't bother trimming edge film, but in this case, it was a necessity!

I'm still hoping one day we'll get a nice, new-tool of this bird; it really is nicely proportioned and, as you said Jessie, quite colourful!
