Hi all,

Here is my build of Zvezda's Su-2 kit. I haven't seen many built so far (in fact only one on display in Nürnberg) so I thought it would be a good idea to share the result with you. The cowling of the model has been modified and some details added, mainly in the interior. The problem with the Su-2 is that whatever angle of photography one tries, the aircraft still looks ugly...

A build article will appear in Tamiya Magazine France and probably also in the International version later.

All the best,

Jean-Luc

Well I like the aircraft and your model (...and the GAZ)!!!

But: You should have done an interior set from your scratch built items

anyway, great build!!!

cheers

I leave this to the specialists. Maybe Sergey from Vector will do something about the interior one day, who knows? I have a second kit in the stash already and will do a late machine with the Vector conversion parts for sure.

Hi Jean-Luc

Fantastic work as ever! I'm not sure about adding the crew figures - although they're nicely sculpted (and you've painted them beautifully), they do look a bit static.

All the best

Hi Chuck and Rowan,

Yes, the turret in the open position is quite something... One just has to leave it in this position on the model...

Rowan, I agree the figures are very static. They don't work well for a diorama for example. But they are very nicely done and to fill the interior they are perfect!

All the best,

Jean-Luc
