I got an Academy 1/48 Pave Hawk in my stash, and after recently watching Inside Combat Rescue, I definetley want to make a build after one of their Pedro's. I understand that the aftermarket stuff Eduard has for the Italieri version works just fine on the academy.
What I'm looking for now and it seems hard are the decals. The decals for this kit are for rescue birds, but the handlebar moustache would be the cherry on top for this one. I checked Wolfpack for decals, but it didn't look as though thier decals for a rescue squadron had that signature marking.
Any ideas where I can get this from?

No Pedro Moustache decals that I know of in any scale. It probably wouldn't be too hard to make with computer decal paper and a graphics program though.
A couple of versions.

Apparently they are from the 56th Resque Squadron out of RAF Lakenheath, England. Only two have the moustache. The one with the solid (no gap) moustache is tain #26208. The two-piece one is tail #26224.
Example of Lakenheath tail markings.
26208
26205 (no Moustache)
They also carry distinctive pilots' door name markings.

You could mitigate the pilots' door flashed by leaving the doors off.
A better pic of the Lakenheath tail code. Here you can see the 56th RQS flash (which has the same image of the British Isles in the circle as the door flash).

Our own Mal would likely be able to make masks for you to paint your own markings.

They say in life there's a solution to everything but death. Thanks everyone, this is why this forum is great. I'll begin to study my options immediately

Found some more info...
On the tail, above the LN code is a subdued US Air Forces Europe patch.
Also, on the crew/cargo doors are subdued 56th Rescue Squadron patches.
I think I will do one of these in 1/35. They look pretty sharp and how can you resist the moustache.
