Hey folks,
I have the Tamiya P-51 D kit #89732 and through my own stupidity I have lost the canopy base part #C-1. I know that Dragon has Dragon Care USA, does Tamiya have something similar where those of us dumb enough to lose things can order a spare part or a sprue? If not does someone make this part in photo etch or resin? I am in the USA, any help in this matter would be appreciated.
Muchas Gracias,
John

There's a vac replacement available from Squadron. You can also find the canopy in Falcon's Clear vax set No. 54 in the "low profile" and "Dallas" styles.

Thanks but I have the canopies, I'm missing the solid base that mates with the fuselage.

The vac canopies come with a vac frame 'base' which rather neatly avoids the whole seam line problem which happens when you use the kit parts. You get the whole thing as one piece.

That "base" is included as one piece in the Squadron canopies, which makes everything easier. Squadron is more more accurate in the windshield dimensions as well...
