Is the black stuff on propellers the pitch?
If so what sort of containers were used to store it at maintenance facilities?

You've got it right! They used glass jars with sealing lids to keep it from drying out. It was stored on a shelf just above the coils of flightline.

And propeller pitch MUST NOT be stored next to or in the same cabinet as Squelch oil for the radio!

Prop wash,and prop pitch are only added in flight.Now, I was looking for about 200 meters of flight line.

YEAH and dont forget to get some 5 Gal cans of rotorwash to give your HELO a bath, to remove the built up pitch and dirt.

I have a good friend that is an IN FLIGHT MISSLE MECHANIC and he says the same thing. but the box of grid squares if you need them are in the safe. wheres the bucket of steam?
