Not the G model shown in the earlier CAD drawings though.

The way the engines are moulded it looks as though the -G parts are a drop fit alternative to the built up test shot. Perhaps that sprue is still being tooled? I like the option for folded rotor blades. It'll make displaying it much easier.

HobbyEasy just got this kit and I was thinking of getting one, but I've never built any Kitty Hawk kits before.. are their kits easy to build as far as fit of parts.. or do they usually require a lot of filling and sanding.. and hair-pulling to get the parts to fit right?

I have this kit and the Dalphin (not sure I spelled that right) anyway they are both very good kits and my initial fit check of the seasprite indicates that the fit is pretty good, just take your time and keep dry fitting it and it will be fine with little filler needed. there are a lot of parts however so it will be a long build.

I saw the instruction sheets for both kits at the Hobbysearch site, and they look like they have very nice details.. which is what got me interersted

Looks like a really well engineered kit. I'm just getting into Helicopters, and this sure looks like it would be a excellent 2nd kit.

I've read a few build blogs on other sites about the kit.
It seams that Kittyhawk used the SH-2G style cover for the SH-2D/F kit. The difference being some intake grills and about a 1/4" extension forward of the rear of the glass should be a body panel. The biggest issue with fixing the doghouse is not reshaping the kit part but the clear parts.

If you look at the top of the front of the glass of the mockup compared to the box picture, there is quite a difference.

Wonder how long it will take a AM company to make the needed parts.
