As far as I'm concerned you can't go wrong with Wingnut Wings . Have a look at the "Instructions" link and you can check out the colors they recommend for the schemes they have in the kit and matches in the Tamiya and Humbrol ranges.
Also, Eduard has 1/48 German WWI seatbelts in their range (49-030).

Michael is dead right. go to the WNW website and download the PDF instruction sheet for the right model of Eindecker. I do know they weren't finished in Clear Doped Linen though rather they were doped with an opaque shade of dope. Colours seem to have varied.
