Some years ago, I picked a few 1980's copies of "Airfoil"; a really good US magazine which featured many previously unpublished WWII era photos.

I've never seen any copies since, so I'm assuming the magazine is out of print... but maybe someone can supply more info...

I'd assumed Airfoil was more well known than is obviously the case.

I've never heard of this mag, Rowan. Have you heard of Twentyfirst Profile? I have every copy, but it only got into the second (I think) volume. That promised to be a good series and has some good pics of unusual subjects :-)

21st Profile was another mag which I missed at the time, but I managed to pick up most of the issues (I think) about a year ago in a bargain bookshop.

It was a really good magazine, with plenty of references for unusual subjects... my eyes lit up at the article on the Gloster F.9/37 Reaper! I'll have to try to scratchbuild that one day!! :-)
