I bought this kit on impulse (took a few days leave). I had a hankering to do the Red Baron's plane (I guess from listening to that Snnopy/Red baron Christmas song). Anyone ever build it? It comes with a PE fret and some Eduard express masks. Luckily, (and by design) this plane doesn't have a lot of rigging.

Funny thing is a Revell of Germany Red Baron caught my eye. It was $5. Then I saw Airfix's for $4.50. Then I asked my friend which one was better. He then sent me down to the Eduard stuff. Ended up paying $15 for this kit.

You did the right thing. The Airfix and Revell kits are dated kits, and are starting to show their age. The Eduard is your best bet. :-)

Must agree on the Eduard kit,but have you seen the brand new Revell model.Popped into ED Models in Birmingham on Monday and Andy Deeley kindly opened the box. There is some really nice interior detailing, exterior detailing is well done, but only one marking option, the Red Baron, and its moulded in red too.The only real problem I could see is the fitting of the interplane struts, but thats only my humble opinion.Ands its cheaper than the Eduard kit.Merry Xmas all ...Dave.
