There are legal considerations in many parts of the EU which ban them outright, and most mainstream manufacturers find it easier to comply. Luckily for modellers, that's why the modelling gods invented aftermarket decal sheets.

Good gravy Noel those are sharp. I find the spitfire particularly snappy. What did you use for the green?? It registers a bit too blue to be accurate IMHO but a little artistic license is the key sometimes.

Hope to see more of your aircraft.

Noel, both models are certainly well done. As Terri said, those winged things are addictive. I was mainly a armor guy, now I'm mostly air aircraft guy these days.

Your 109's look super Noel . nice job on the camo on the 109 E-3 .

You can always but a post asking if any one has spares in their decal box for the missing decals , lot's of different options on how to obtain them .

Thanks!

Well on the Airfix instruction colour chart they green is listed as (Humbrol, I would imagine) 30 Dark Green and on a conversion chart that I found, the equivalent to Vallejo was Model Color 895.

I also did not like the tone of the green. In my next Spitfire I'll try to find a better green.

Cheers

It is well known that Humbrol 30 is not a match for Dark Green, H 116 or 163 have both been suggested as better substitutes. Vallejo - Dark Earth Model Color 873/142, Model Air 71029, Dark Green Model Color 893/95 Model Air 71016.
