This review examines the big Hasegawa 1/32 Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden (Violet Lightning) fighter, code-named "George" by the Allies. Long has this fighter fascinated fans of Imperial Japanese aviation and long have modelers dreamt of a modern kit to replace the 1/32 N1K1-J and N1K2-J of the 1970s.

Fred, great review. Pilot figures are something I wish were included more often and two head options is a really nice touch.
Great nations do not fall because of external aggression; they first erode and decay inwardly, so that, like rotten fruit, they fall of themselves. The strength of a country is the sum total of the moral strength of the individuals in that country.
