Hi
This is my new build: A F-35A Lighting II
The F-35 is the new Lockheed Martin fighter bomber of fith generation
It has 3 models:
- the F-35A a conventional take off plane
- the F-35B a VSTOL aircraft
- the F-35C a carrier based aircraft
Kitty Hawk propose the two first version: F-35A and F-35B.
I choose the F-35A version
Because I prefere a color funny scheme than classical grey camo, I choose to made a "what if" plane in IAF color scheme.
It's not a really what if because Israel bought 20 F-35A with first deliver in 2017. The name in IAF service is already chose. It was "Adir"
I inspired me of F-16 an F-15 camo to made this "Adir"
I use some improvement
I replace the wheels by an armory wheels set. The wheels in the kit have a poor look. It is the sole fault in this kit.
The "scopion" on the tail and David stars were painted with J's Work mask
The 600 gallons tanks comes to Isracast F-16 tanks set
The GBU-12 comes from a F-16C Kinetik kit
And the DER ejector comes from a F-18 Revell kit
I use also some decals coming from F-16A "Netz" decals sheet
I choose to make a "heavy" configuration for an impressive look
The kit didn't present no major difficulty
The main probleme is to glue all the bombs-missiles-tanks and doors bays in this configuration
One pics
And a little more at this adress

The billion dollar bathtub doesn't look half bad with camouflage applied. Super clean paintwork remi. With today's "grey is great" aircraft the what if approach is the only way to make something interesting.
Too bad the stealth won't work with those external stores!

Hi Remi
Beautiful! That'd look very nice as a Frontpage Feature!
All the best
