This has to be one of, if not the best in box reviews I've ever read. You really did your homework on this one. While being more then fair, you took Kitty Hawk to task for some major issues, including ejector marks on visible surfaces, issues with the decals, omissions on the instruction sheet, 6 decal offerings for versions that aren't in the box, plus not offering the long canopy.

For a $100 kit, it seems to fall short of its mark. Before I even consider making this my 1st ever 1/32 scale kit, I'll wait for the After Market crowd to offer up the needed parts including top flight decals.

A very comprehensive review Rowan, many thanks for taking the time to check out the differences between a T6 and Harvard and the colour schemes offered When this was first announce I was really looking forward to getting it but I now might wait to see what the after market boys might do. I did want to model a Harvard, but I would have gone for one of the more colourful Texans, and still might, as it is a perfect opportunity to use paint masks
It really is frustrating that ejector pin marks, though necessary, are on the side of parts that are visible when, with just a little thought, the parts could be moulded the other way around!
I am now undecided as to whether I will get this kit, it was going to be a must have but it looks like, for just a little bit more care, Kitty Hawk have certainly missed the boat. A great pity I will wait and see if any online builds can influence me otherwise.

I was hoping Harvard as well, and not a 'you get the idea' model, as the included markings would suggest. The cost of this modern large scale kit is reasonable, but, the options just are not there. I'll save my money as well.
