René: Ah! My life is in danger, so I will confess to all of these things, as long as you lock me up.

Crabtree: I see. Unfortunately, all the sills are filled to caposity. Could you come back next woke?

If I'd googled it first I wouldn't have a chance to search for Allo Allo quotes and laugh

René: Are you one of them?
Lt. Gruber: It was very lonely on the Russian front.
LeClerc: Is he one of us?
René: No, he is one of them!
Gruber: Please, do not tell everybody!

Thanks for the info !!!

Hi everyone !

QF-16

F-16 XL

Two Bobs produced a 48th "Victim Viper" decal sheet as a "proposal" QF-16, though Bae did not get that contract; Boeing did. However, it shouldn’t be too hard to do as the markings are simplified with International Orange and basic stenciling. There are some scoring and SPVI-TVI antennas to add as well.

As far as a 72nd F-16XL, the Monogram kit is far from accurate, but is an "ok" starting point. You'll want to check out Keith Svendensen's XL article from the 1986 IPMS Journal. He noted most of the major corrections (structurally) needed to build an accurate XL from the Monogram kit. Here are some details I noted that are missing as well:

- Throttle bump
- Pre-bulge to MLG doors (not the same as production)
- Bulged MLG doors, heavy weight gear, Block 1-10 or 40 wheels (depends on the time frame)
- Spine chute, spin chute bracketing/mounts (Single seat only and depending on the time frame)
- Low profile side scoops
- LEF and wing LE undercurl
-3 Degree tail cant
- Hardpoints and pylons.
- LNSI Intake (2 seat only, post 1985 Mod)

Here’s a 72nd F-16XL (single seat) conversion from Lone Star, out of Japan. It’s really basic; primarily the upper / lower fuselage, hollow Pratt nozzle, vertical tails, and pylons. Though the LS XL conversion has some inaccuracies, there’s nothing major and it’s more accurate than Monogram’s OOTB. I don’t know if he still makes this conversion anymore though.

It was also real expensive: around 10,000 Yen shipped.

I do know of another 72nd F-16 XL that’s underway. We should hear more about it late this summer.

Interesting......although news of a 1/48 YF-16 would be even more interesting...
