Very interesting AM upgrade for the Academy F4. I was curious to see if there was enough difference for me to consider ordering a set, and there is. The lip of the intake is finer, and looks like it's recessed deeper then the kit part. There seems to also be a difference in the shape of the rear of the A/C scoops. The kit parts are basically cylindrical, while the Hypersonic scoops have a dip to a narrowing towards the rear.
I went to their site to see what the total cost would be including shipping. $11.50. That's a little too steep for me for just two small intake scoops. SO I'll see if I can any better via my favorite online stores or even on ebay.
