Hello,
I am new over here at Aeroscale. I have been on armorama for a while but brand new to the whole aircraft thing... LOL.
I was looking for some suggestions. I have decided to build some WW2 aircraft in 1/48 scale. I do all my armor and soft skin vehicles in 1/35 scale. But there just dosnt seem to be a whole lot of aircraft out there in 1/35 and 1/32....So I chose 1/48.
The first question of many to come........is.
Who makes a good Do-17 kit in 1/48. By good I am looking for something fairly easy to build and accurate. I would love for the Do-17 to also be from the Battle of Britan time frame.
Thanks for any advice.
Spence

HobbyCraft and Classic Airframes are the only 2 brands I am aware of making a DO-17 in 1/48. HobbyCraft has more choices but I hear it has accuracy issues with the fuselage. CA might be a better choice if you can find one.

Hi Spence
The HobbyCraft kit needs a lot of work to correct its peculiar "banana" fuselage, but actually gets the tail better than Classic Airframes.
However, I'd say hold fire and wait and see what ICM do; they're promising a Do 17Z after their great looking Do 215:

Thanks Guys!
Sounds like maybe I should just hang tight and concentrate on other kits for a while.
Thanks for the advice.
