Dudes,
Call me crazy, I just acquired the trumpeter F105G, on top of the 2 F105D I already got, am gonna start working on the G immediately after I done the Tomcat.
I think I am turning into a full plane modeler now, now think of it, armor is kinda boring. LOL.

Your going thru a burnout stage on armor. I go back and forth from aircraft, ships and armor! right now I am into armor, I got burnt out on aircraft for awhile. I have 75 plane kits in my stash! So I hope down the road my aircraft interest comes back. I still follow the aircraft forums and try to help out when I can.
Your not crazy, your a modeler !
Cheers,
Garry

If one must build an airplane rather than a tank, the F105 is acceptable as it was a flying tank I believe. Sort of a plane that sits along with the P47, Stormavik, AD1, etc. Cool plane though.

Welcome to the club! AC's are very good! You just need to make it a clean build unlike tanks which require lots of weathering.

I'm not much of an expert in AC building but here's my step in doing them
1. Do the cockpit
2. Assemble the body
3. Mask the cockpit
4. Paint the entire plane
5. Now do the accessories (weapons, gears etc.) and you're done
I would recomend painting the plane using AB or Spray Cans. Unlike land vehicles which you can finish only with a brush, ACs need a flat coating which cannot be replicated with brush only.
BTW, I had only built Modern ACs, so there may be variations with older planes.

Hi All
If I could add to this subject IMHO a true modeler builds anything that interests them.

Welcome back to the aviation side. Though I have about 95% aircraft kits about 200 kits unbuilt with 6 in the building cycle at a time. An armor kit or soft skin is a welcome change of pace. Just have fun building!

Im sure you'll get around to building armor kits again. I build both armor and aircraft, and yes, it does get pretty monotonous after the fourth or fifth tank/plane.
However, if you do feel like shifting full-time ...
Mike, can I have some of the kits SS-74 is sending you? LOL.
