Thanks for getting this one up, Jessie. The show was extremely busy and it was very difficult to get near many of the models due to the crowds. Also, several categories were positively loaded with entries, the rotorcraft especially (almost barren last year).
Thanks,
Jan

Russ,
Thanks for posting and indeed it is one of the larger shows in Canada. Another great thing is that half the hanger where it is held has a great selection of 1:1 scale aircraft to amaze a visitor. You also might be interested to know that all the real aircraft that you see in the pictures that are seen at the end are being restored to flying condition. To me the most amazing new addition is the Avenger torpedo bomber. For a single engine aircraft it is absolutely HUGE!
Cheers,
Jan

Good job! Some really nice work displayed. What a great place to have a model show and club. Must be a beautiful museum. There is a somewhat smaller restoration museum about a 2 hour drive from my home and it's my favorite museum because they will let you visit the assembly shop which is great for details.

Jack,
Thanks for your comment and the museum is quite something. The main hangar of the show usually houses about 20 or more aircraft in one side and then another 15 or so in the the other but not including aircraft being restored. The Lancaster takes up about a quarter of 1/5th of one side of a hangar (it's that big, the hangar that is).
Cheers,
Jan

Really some excellent modeling, especially those helicopters. From what I remember of my contest years, any category that was scarcely entered usually got bombarded with entries the following year. I guess that's just human nature.

Joel,
You couldn't be more right!!! In fact, I personally persuaded a fellow from the local IPMS club to enter his Mi-8 and Black Shark choppers as last year there were only four entries is the Rotorcraft category. Imagine his and my surprise when we saw the number of choppers already there! They had to enlarge the category area to almost twice its orignal size. I believe that this was a record year for the show as far as entries and visitors go. Several categories had to be split into two due to the number of entries in them!
Cheers,
Jan
