Thank you for the link I did not no of this video.
I lived in Saffron Walden (featured in the film)and was in high school at the time of the filming,most of the kids spent their days looking out of the class room windows at the aircraft formations.
I remember riding on my bike towards Debden when the He III's flew overhead and landed at the airbase.
Debden was the German base and Duxford was the RAF base.
Filming went on for many months ( for 2Hr and 12 minute Movie!)
The hanger that they blew up was not a replica but one of the original aircraft hangers,many aircraft historians were upset at this!
Anyway thank you for my flash back, I think this weekend I will watch the movie.
