Hi, I've just had a look, what technique did you use for the shading in the grey paint? It does look effective.

What do you mean? The weathering?
For the weathering, I used chalk pastels. I've grinded down the pastels into powder and applied with a brush. Now, hard and soft brush makes difference. Applying it with a soft brush will weather the kit lightly and evenly wherein a stiff brush with apply it darker and unveven. Using both techniques and applying them in the right order makes a lot of difference.
Hope this helps!

Hi Shonen
The pastel weathering looks very effective! :-)
Don't forget to seal the pastels before you apply the decals, or you'll have a runny mess.
All the best

Yep, thanks for reminding. The bad thing is with Airfix decals, they always got torn apart. Hell, if you see my cockpit controls, it's just painted in mettalic grey cause the decal got torn easily. I don't know why but I used the standard procedure on placing them.

Hi Shonen
If the decals are breaking up badly, try coating them with varnish while they're still on the sheet. You'll have to cut each decal out carefully, but the varnish should help hold everything together.
Hope this helps

Great job SR! I still haven't finished that Academy Zero hehe
JMN has a few bottles of Liquid Decal Film I think. I hear that they are very useful especially with old thin decals.

:-) Nice Harrier, Shonen. Love to sea British aircraft, especially this unique bird. I've "played" up close to the GR 3, harriers are amazing :-)
