You need to put {img} in front of the photo direct link and {/img} after but change the curly brackets to square brackets [].

Here is the direct link

http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o31/alachetta/CNV00010_zps8ef6d2e2.jpg

now with img in brackets

I hope the size of the images are o.k. I compress the original
sizes a bit. There a roughly between 2 - 3 mb.

Airix Mk IIa 1/72

To compress photos I use Picasa 3 which can be downloaded free. There is a facility called Export that can be used to downsize the photo. 500 pixels is usually about right.

Looks like you should be able to download it safely from here without ten other things you don't want.

It is good to have one option " running"but two were better.
We put Picasa on our PC. There is a lot to play with.
We will see whats in the end better.
Thanks a lot for your Help.

Really a very nicely built and finished Macchi C. 202. Your weathering has that "used but not abused" look and feel to it. Well done.

The max size picture you can upload to Photobucket is 1024x768.If you upload larger pics, they use their own compression program which can sometimes do strange things. Resize 1st, then upload. Works every time.

Hi
thanks for the advises and the warm words. Putting pictures on
the net in forums is completlely new to me.
The Macchis had a very interesting solution to minimise the
torque effect from the prop. One wing ist smaller, the aircraft
is asymmetric.Hasegawa captured this. I would do a C.205 too,
but there hard to find even in japan.

Here's my "Mama Jessie's canned image posting guide":

You don't need to buy any special software to post pictures here. If you want to resize your pictures there are several different freeware programs you can get such as Ifranview, Gimp or Paint.net. As a member of Aeroscale you have a space in the image gallery (look at the black bar on the top of the page. The Gallery is found between "Events" and "Links" on the right hand side of the screen. Follow this tutorial to use it.)

The only problem with the gallery is because we have so many members it can't hold many pictures so many of us use another photo hosting site like Photobucket, Imageshack or Flickr to host our pictures.

Regardless where you host your pictures, the way to insert an image is pretty simple. Whenever you're writing a post, you'll see 7 little white buttons just below the area you type in. the far right-hand button says {img} (except that the brackets are square). Click that button whenever you want to insert a picture and you'll see this appear:
{img}http://put.url.here/image.file{/img}
(once again, the brackets will be square in real life)

Go to your image hosting site, select your picture, and copy its URL. The fastest way to do that is to hover your mouse pointer over the picture, click the right mouse button and select "copy image location" from the little menu which pops up.

Come back to Aeroscale, and replace the text which says "http://put.url.here/image.file" with the URL that you just copied. I like to use browser tabs which let me easily switch between Aeroscale and my hosting site as many times as I like. This is useful for inserting multiple pictures in one post.

Enjoy your stay in Aeroscale. If you have any questions at all, all of us will be happy to answer them. Happy building!

Hi Jessie
Thank you for this.I used this " can " while doing experiments with Photo Bucket.Uploading Pics via Photo Bucket works now relative properly, that means you see something .I hope the size of the pictures are o.K. This morning i started a new topic ( P-40E ) and i compress the latest Picture. This will hopefully improve uploading Pics.
It is for me the first time to get pictures on the net and
this in a foreign language( for me )it is quite a challenge,
but fun

This one's a good size:

But something is making you paste too much code into the forum software. Possibly it's a Photobucket thing? Here's what got posted (I changed the square brackets to curly ones so the code can be visible)
{{URL=http://s1372.photobucket.com/user/berndmueller11/media/202klein_zps296f69ca.jpg.html}{IMG}http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag345/berndmueller11/202klein_zps296f69ca.jpg{/IMG}{/URL}}
That's what is making those extra square brackets show up at the bottom of your pictures.

The only part of that needed to make the picture appear is {IMG}http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag345/berndmueller11/202klein_zps296f69ca.jpg{/IMG}
